Estate Planning

Gilboy & Gilboy LLP draws from nearly 40 years of focused experience
to ensure you get the best possible advice.

A personally tailored estate plan that fits your needs.

Whether our clients are a young couple who just had a child or bought a house, established professionals looking to protect and advance a lifetime of hard work, or private business owners looking to preserve and efficiently transfer interests to the next generation, we help them identify potential issues and solutions. At minimum, most clients will require:

  • A Will or Pour Over Will with a Revocable Trust to govern the disposition of estate assets and provide a retention vehicle until the next generation is ready to receive assets;
  • A Financial Power of Attorney to designate an Agent to manage financial affairs during the client’s lifetime;
  • A Healthcare Power of Attorney to designate an Agent to manage health and medical affairs during the client’s lifetime;
  • A Living Will to govern end of life decisions.

Clients facing potentially federally taxable estates, private business owners, clients with complex family scenarios may require more complex planning and every situation is unique.
